Aliapur in mourning

It is with great sadness that we learned yesterday, Wednesday 31 July, of the death of Serge Saunier, our Administration, Finance and Information Systems Director, in a Cirrus SR20 light aircraft crash in Poncins, in the Loire département.

Serge Saunier obtained his pilot’s licence many years ago. He flew
this type of aircraft regularly,
between Bron, near Lyon, and Gap
(in the Hautes-Alpes département),
his home town.

Serge Saunier had recently celebrated his 52nd birthday. He was one of the pioneers at Aliapur as he was the first close associate hired by our Managing Director, Eric Fabiew when the company was created ten years ago. He joined the company as Administra-
tive and Financial Director and took over the Direction of the Information Systems three years ago. In this latter post, he created and rendered opera-
tional the Aliabase system, which was implemented successfully for our 40,000 distributors at the start of June.

Serge Saunier was a Member of the Board of Directors and he accompanied every step of Aliapur’s development with unparalleled professional acuity, a perfect assessment of situations, great intellectual finesse and absolute loyalty.

We are a small team of around twenty colleagues. Serge was not, however, simply a colleague but was also our friend and everyone here at Aliapur owes him a great deal. He found solutions to every problem and his sense of humour was legendary. He will be sorely missed.

Our immense sadness is shared by his wife, Pascale, and their children, Marjorie and Aurélien. They are in our thoughts and we would like to extend to them our most sincere condolences.
